Our mission is to create an exciting venue where Maryland artists can display their creations, as we serve the Baltimore metropolitan area with a variety of Maryland themed and family friendly artwork.
The Creative Arts of Maryland, LLC is organized as an artist-operated cooperative gallery, formed and authorized under the laws of the State of Maryland and is led by the Gallery Owner/President along with the Manager and Corporate members. The Gallery will promote visual arts such as: painting, drawing, sculpting, photography, along with unique glass, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, needle art and handicrafts of all mediums.
We aspire to meet the growing demands of artists who want to display their work, as well as periodically offering local and private schools’ art departments the opportunity to display the artwork of their students in a gallery setting. New artwork will be introduced into the Gallery on a monthly basis for the opportunity to sell and promote the Gallery artists on “First Friday/Saturday” opening nights, highlighting the “guest artist” for the month, encouraging all the member artists to attend one of those evenings.
The Creative Arts of Maryland Gallery was founded in 2014 by Karl and Margo Franz, who have lived, worked, and raised their family in the Hamilton neighborhood for over 30 years. Along with a few family members and friends, they decided to open the gallery to share their artwork and to be a part of the growing Harford Road corridor and local arts community.
